It seemed we were going to have a reprieve from the pandemic early in the season but now we’re well into pandemic 2.0. As a consequence, we have decided to forgo our in person fall conference this year. As an alternative, will be offering quarterly webinar workshops in the coming months. They will be limited to two hours each in the interest of holding your interest.
Our first webinar is scheduled for October 22, 2021 from 3 o’clock till 5:00 PM. Laura Wilhelm, PhD, Associate Prof., with the WVU Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry will be presenting on “Anxiety Treatment in Light of the Covid-19 Pandemic:” You can sign up by clicking the button below.
The physical, emotional, relationship, and practical hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as burn-out regarding multiple aspects of the past 18 months, are immense. This presentation describes fundamental ingredients of evidence-based cognitive-behavioral treatment for anxiety and related disorders–with special considerations for tailoring personalized treatment in a “COVID-19 world.” Strategies for helping individuals who struggle with problematic anxiety amid continuous pandemic-related uncertainty will be highlighted.
A Zoom link and all other relevant materials will be sent out to those who have signed up the week of October 17.
We will have more upcoming webinars to announce in the coming weeks. This page will be updated with new information and sign-up links as new presentations are added to the calendar, and of course, we will keep members informed of developments and additions via our mailing list, as always!
